Combining Images in SAFE

1. From the document list, select two or more images using CTRL button on your keyboard.

2. Click and hold the left mouse button, then drag the highlighted images to "Combine Images" at the bottom right corner of the SAFE window. The "Combine Images" window will appear.

3. Define the output parameters.

 

     A. Choose either Tiff or PDF as the "Output file type". 

     B. Select the "Bits Per Pixel" from the drop-down list. This will determine if the output will be black-and-white, color, or grayscale.

     C. Select the output image resolution from the "DPI" drop-down list.

     D. Choose the "Compression" type. If unsure about the appropriate compression, set to "Default".

     E. Optionally, check "Autorotate Pages" and/or "Delete Originals".

     F. The "Up" and 'Down" buttons allow you to reorder the documents. 

4. Click "Combine".

5. Choose one or more of the following options.

     Preview Ouput - Opens a preview window with the output Tiff or PDF.

     File to SAFE - Launches the "Filer" window for saving the document to SAFE.

     Save To - Allows you to save the document to a Windows file directory.

     Email - Launches the "Cabinet Email Documents" dialogue window.

     Print - Opens SAFE's "Print Documents" dialogue window.
